HOLE ONE

We start with a straightforward par 4, a conservative tee shot will leave you with a nice approach on to the green. A bunker situated to the left of the green offers some difficulty.

PAR YARDS STROKE
4 316 7
4 297 7
4 274 6
PRO TIP
A tee shot down the left side of the fairway makes the second shot easier. Play down the right and there’s a large tree just short and to the right of the green. Meanwhile, the green itself doesn’t give you much to aim at.

HOLE TWO

This par 3 is littered with green side bunkers, meaning an accurate tee shot is key here in order to avoid them.

PAR YARDS STROKE
3 151 8
3 145 8
3 145 8
PRO TIP
There are bunkers in front and to the right of the green, with a tree to the left, so hit it straight. If you feel you cannot clear the front bunker, play just to the right of it, which will give you a clear pitch shot to the green.

HOLE THREE

The third is a short Par 4, at about 250 yards and ranked as the easiest hole on the course. Golfers have a choice to lay up with their tee shot to the green and still have a chance for a birdie. Longer hitters can go for the green with their tee shot and have a chance to score a rare eagle. With trees either side of the fairway, accuracy is important, while the green is also guarded by three bunkers.

4 247 9
4 238 9
PRO TIP
Playing down the left side of the fairway is best. You’ll be able to see most of the green. Play to the right and you’ll have a large bunker to clear in front of the green.

HOLE FOUR

This fourth hole is the second hardest hole on the course. Tee shot accuracy is important, with a ditch down the right side that catches wayward tee shots, while anything too far left means your second shot is blocked by tall tree in front. A ditch runs across the middle that could catch a poor second or third shot. The green is tricky and slops severely from the front to the back.

PAR YARDS STROKE
4 362 2
4 351 2
4 326 2
PRO TIP
Aim your tee shot to the centre or right of centre for a clear shot onto the green. Beware the ditch across the fairway at about 300 yards. If you haven't hit a good drive, it's best to play short of the ditch rather than risking getting over it.

HOLE FIVE

This is a par 3 where a range of different clubs can be used to tee off, depending on wind direction. The ridge that slopes across the middle of the fairway left to right catches any ball that is slightly mis-hit. Meanwhile, a small but well positioned bunker on the right of the green is best avoided. Aim left and it will leave a simple chip and putt.

PAR YARDS STROKE
3 171 6
3 166 6
3 160 7
PRO TIP
Aim for the left side of the green as anything that’s mis hit will catch the slope and kick off to the right and you may have to play over the small, but deep bunker.

HOLE SIX

The hardest hole on the course, the sixth requires you to shape your shot around the trees or to go over them. This hole can lead to numerous dropped shots if you’re not careful. Your approach into the green is a narrow shot, onto a small putting surface.

PAR YARDS STROKE
4 441 1
4 432 1
5 423 1
PRO TIP
Drive straight or to the left side of the fairway. Unless you hit a long drive, you’ll have a difficult second shot with the river on the left and a ditch all the way up the right. It’s a par 5 for women and par 4 for men. Best to lay up short or just over the mounds. This means you’ll have a reasonably easy shot into the green and you may walk off with a birdie.

HOLE SEVEN

The Signature Wembley hole.

PAR YARDS STROKE
4 325 4
4 316 4
4 264 5
PRO TIP
A straight drive is important here. The oak tree on the left, trees and bushes to the right are all hazards you need to avoid. From the women’s tee, aim just to the right of the oak tree.

HOLE EIGHT

The last par 3 on the course has a perfectly situated steep bunker placed in the centre of the fairway, which will capture any under hit shots.

PAR YARDS STROKE
3 155 5
3 135 5
3 124 4
PRO TIP
Tricky hole with a bunker in front of the green. Short hitters play to the right of the bunker and then it’s a straightforward pitch or chip.

Perivale Park - Hole 9
HOLE NINE

We've kept the longest until last. This monster par 5 is over 530 yards. There are various bunkers situated on fairway that need to be navigated. Meanwhile, the green has two front side bunkers and another to the right.

PAR YARDS STROKE
5 539 3
5 531 3
5 471 3
PRO TIP
On this par 5, drive between bunkers onto a wide fairway with out of bounds to the left on the practice grounds. There are three bunkers, 140 yards short of the green but it’s still fairly easy to play off.
